Most people know that the Nuerburgring is located in Germany. The Nuerburg Ring is one of the world’s most famous race tracks, it was first introduced in 1927 and has a distance of 26 km. The 26 km track is seperated into the 5 km GP-track and the 21 km “Nordschleife”.
The Nuerburgring is not, like many people think, near Nuernburg. The Nuerburgring is located in the “Eifel”, a huge landside with lots of forests and nature located in western Germany.
At racing weekends many people meet there to watch the famous drivers taking their rounds. There is a huge campside where you can settle with you tent and find other racing fans like you. There is the F1 race, the 24 hour race, DTM races and a lot more races taken place at the Nuerburgring.
Races are not the only events at the Nuerburgring. There are lots of huge partys like the “Ring Fest”, a Rock Festival with famous musicians and more than 80 autel maxidas ds808,000 visitors. Besides these partys you can take many different driver trainings, security trainings and car check ups. These are offered on a regular basis by the biggest german automobile-club, the ADAC.
If you like you can drive your own car on the Nuerburgring. You can try the “Nordschleife” for a small fee of 19 Euro with your own car and there is no speed limit! But be aware of the accidents that happen quite often. The Nuerburgring is a very hard racing track and many people have crushed their nice cars there. The Nordschleife is also called “The Gruene Hoelle” (Green Hell). This term is used to describe the very hard to drive track which leads through the deep forest of the Eifel. On Sundays you can watch people driving (and crash) their fast ferrari cars or other sports cars on the Nordschleife. The 21 km Nordschleife is the world’s longest racing track that is open for public driving. If you want to drive your car at the maximum level, then this is the place to go.
When you come to Germany, the Nuerburgring is definately a place to visit, especially when the “Rock am Ring” Festival is take place. You can combine your visit at the Nuerburgring with a trip to Cologne, Germany’s most exciting city autel maxisys ms906. Cologne is not too far from the Nuerburg Ring, aproximately 60 miles.
